The three non-profit organizations the Turkey Trot supports are The Southbury Food Bank, Southbury Fuel Bank and Southbury Needy Fund. They are in need of financial support now more than ever.
- Race begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. The race will start on Main Street (in front of 760 Main Street at the Gazebo).
- Main Street will be shut down from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
- Please do not line up prior to 8:15 a.m.
- To ensure the safety of all participants, please line up based on your race pace to allow the faster runners to line up at the front of the line.
- Participants with strollers, slower runners and walkers should line up toward the back of the line.
- No dogs are allowed on the course.
- The REVV facility will be closed. Participants will not be able to enter the facility. Please use the porta potties on Main Street at the start line and in the REVV parking lot.
- Parking: The REVV parking lot will be closed the morning of the race. Please find an alternative parking location in the vicinity. Please do not park at the Post Office or Urgent Care. Given Main Street South will be closed beginning at 8:15 a.m., you are strongly encouraged to arrive by 8:00 a.m.
- As shared on the race registration site and on our Facebook page, participants who register by November 1st receive a race shirt as they are pre-ordered.
- If you plan to pick up on race day, please arrive no later than 8:00 a.m.
- If you are picking up multiple bibs/shirts, please bring your own bag.
- The Kid’s Fun Run will start at the entrance to REVV (behind the building). Please arrive no later than 7:50 a.m. The race will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Registration for the Kid’s Fun Run will be available at REVV at bib pick-up and on race day from 7:15 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.
- Awards - An awards ceremony will occur following the race.
- Pre-registration is online now for $30.00, plus 50% of the processing fees (the other 50% will be paid by the SWC).
- There will be no race day registration.
- Sorry, no pets are permitted at the race.
- Teams have a minimum of 3 participants but no maximum. You must register a team name during the registration process to be eligible.
- USATF CERTIFIED COURSE: The course route goes down Main Street South then turns right onto Oak Tree Road and then a left hand turn back on to Main Street South. Flat and fast!!! CLICK HERE FOR MAP.
- Awards will be given to all top male and female finishers in 9 age categories ranging from under 10 years of age to over 70.
- NEW THIS YEAR: There will not be any water station along the route. Water will be available at the finish line.
